Yumi Nutrition is in expansion mode. The UK manufacturer of chewable supplements has teamed up with airport hospitality group OTG, securing shelf space in seven airports in the US.

Sebastien Vanderlinden, chief executive at Yumi Nutrition, said: “We’re delighted to be working with OTG and to have our products stocked in airports across the US in what is an exciting step for the business as we continue our expansion.”

The agreement with OTG is Yumi Nutrition’s latest venture into the US market, having already secured retail distribution deals with Urban Outfitters and GNC.

Yumi said this new development, alongside a partnership with Holland & Barrett in the UK, has resulted in a fourfold turnover increase year-on-year.

Vanderlinden said the company has seen an uptick in demand for chewable vitamins and supplements over the last couple of years. “Consumers have become increasingly health-conscious but want an easier and more enjoyable route to health and wellbeing benefits than traditional pills and capsules,” he said.

The Yumi Gut Health and Sleep gummies are now available to buy at Philadelphia International, Ronald Reagan Washington National, Newark Liberty International, George Bush Intercontinental, Minneapolis-Saint Paul International and LaGuardia airports where OTG operates retail stores.

Annamarie McConnell, director of non-food retail at OTG, said: “OTG is focused on providing a first-class customer experience in the airport environment and we’re thrilled to be stocking Yumi’s chewable supplements. The products will be a great fit for our CIBO Express Gourmet Market and will appeal to many travellers, helping to ensure they feel their best during their journey and beyond.”
