US: Lewis & Clark AgriFood promotes Tim Hassler to managing director

Lewis & Clark AgriFood, a St. Louis-based food and agriculture-focused investment firm, has promoted Tim Hassler to managing director.

Hassler joined Lewis & Clark AgriFood in June 2019, partnering closely with general partner and managing director David Taiclet and managing director Larry Page.

He was previously managing director for Advantage Capital Agribusiness Partners (ACAP), a rural business investment company focused exclusively on the food and agribusiness sector, where he managed all aspects of the fund, including fundraising, deal sourcing, due diligence, portfolio management, and reporting.

Hassler led six investments for ACAP and was a board member or observer on each investment.

Hassler also co-founded Patriot Capital Funding, a speciality finance company providing mezzanine debt. His responsibilities spanned all elements of the investment process, including chief investment officer, chief operating officer and chief compliance officer.

Lewis & Clark AgriFood’s general partner and managing director David Taiclet said: “Tim has only been with the firm for a short time, but he has provided outstanding leadership around fundraising, sourcing deals, investment analysis, and portfolio management. Additionally, Tim has led a number of deals both in the Lewis & Clark Rural (RBIC) Fund and the Lewis & Clark AgriFood Growth Fund.”
