Dr Andrew Huberman

Nutrition supplement company Athletic Greens, based in Wilmington, Delaware, has appointed Dr Andrew Huberman as scientific advisor to help promote AG1, the company’s daily foundational nutrition drink, and to develop new product offerings.

Huberman is a neuroscientist, academic and podcaster with nearly 30 years of research experience. His most recent work focuses on the influence of vision and respiration on human performance and brain states such as fear and courage. He also worked on neural regeneration and directed a clinical trial to promote visual restoration in diseases that cause blindness. He has made many contributions to the fields of brain development, brain function and neural plasticity, which is the ability of the nervous system to rewire and learn new behaviours, skills and cognitive functioning.

Athletic Greens’ founder and chief executive Chris Ashenden said: “We’re thrilled to have Dr Huberman, an incredible leader in the scientific and medical communities and a long time Athletic Greens partner, join our team of advisors to help define this health and wellness category of foundational nutrition and educate consumers on the science around nutrition and healthy habits. As an accomplished neuroscientist and an AG1 customer since 2012, Dr Huberman understands the impact that daily health habits can have in driving outstanding results and his incredible knowledge can help in our mission to empower people to take ownership of their health.”

Huberman added: “Athletic Greens is transforming how people around the world approach nutrition through an extraordinarily simple and comprehensive daily habit. I’ve taken AG1 daily for a decade, and it’s an unparalleled product. The comprehensive blend of ingredients with well researched benefits offers the most convenient way to invest in your nutritional foundation and complement a healthy lifestyle.”
